Don’t Forget Your Land Rover’s Maintenance Amidst COVID-19

It’s no secret that the past year has changed how we do just about everything. Whether it’s distance learning or working from home, the world is completely different than it was at the start of 2020. No matter how you’ve been impacted, it’s likely that you’re doing everything you can to stay on top of your responsibilities while navigating new policies and procedures. When so much change occurs, it’s common to forget about things that were once second nature to us.

Maintenance on your Land Rover could be one of those things, but it’s important that you make a conscious effort to stay on top of your regular vehicle maintenance.

Tune Up Tips

Even if you’re driving less than usual, make sure you bring your Land Rover in for these necessary regular tune-ups before heading on any long journeys post-pandemic.

  • Transmission Fluid Flush. Pressurized vacuum transmission fluid flushes ensure that all of the fluid in your transmission system gets refreshed. When you get a top-off at other garages, they commonly only swap out about five quarts, where a fluid flush refreshes all fifteen quarts in your system.
  • Fuel Injection System Cleaning. This service keeps your Land Rover running smoothly and ensures that there’s no toxic carbon buildup in the system. In some cases, fuel injection system cleaning can even improve your gas mileage.
  • Add BG 44k. For all Land Rovers and Mini Coopers, adding a can of BG 44k improves performance by helping to clean out carbon buildup. This is necessarily fairly frequently, usually every 5,000 miles or so.
